There are three accessories that come with Squeakee– a pump which has no moving parts, a little ball which squeezes and a little push pin. Just keep in mind that the “popper” is pretty small, so keep it away from young hands when not watching. It can be hard enough work as it is persuading kids to play with real toys, so when they do want to get one out I like that there is no temptation to connect it to a screen and start focussing more on that than the toy.

My favorite is when you poke the balloon dog with one of it's accessories and it acts as if it's deflating, the sound it makes is adordable and funny. Squeakee takes 4 x AA batteries, two in each of his rear legs and we found he definitely worked best with decent, higher powered batteries. We have so many exciting brands for you to choose from including Pitter Patter Pets and Robo Alive, which means you’re sure to find something your little learner will love. He certainly doesn’t hit hard enough to cause any damage, but any excess noise is easy to avoid by playing with Squeakee on the carpet. Always avoid an uneven or rough surface as it will affect Squeakee’s animation or movements adversely. We also loved that he wasn’t a cute, fluffy pet – he is something a little bit different, and we thought that would make him more appealing for slightly older kids too. But beware, when Squeakee or Spotty get full, they may pee or fart – much to the delight of your child.
