This is a message from the Chair and Trustees of Tameside Sight

You may have read in the local press and heard on Talking News that Tameside Sight is closing down.

This is definitely not the case.

Unable to find funding to continue paying the two remaining members of staff they have been made redundant and ended their employment with the charity at the end of June 2018.

The Community Support Project will therefore no longer have paid employees, but a team of volunteers will provide a skeleton service as we look to alternative ways of continuing to assist people suffering with sight loss.

Please continue to support Tameside Sight as this service is essential to all those currently with problems with vision and also for those that will need a service in future.
