About this deal

She had always loved reading and she felt that there was no better tie to write her own novel. After she published her debut in 2013, there was no stopping her and she could not be happier. I tried SO HARD to continue this.. but I just can't .. I don't think I can read more of this author's writing...

I’ve heard people say it’s hard to pinpoint the exact second you fall in love with someone. I’m pretty sure it was the moment I first saw her. And I’ve been falling ever since.” That was the only cool thing she did, she was so up Colt’s ass that she could never stand up to him and say no. This story had a lot going on and at times was a bit hard to read but my lord I could not put it down! This book is not just a little dark! It is a dark dark romance. Shantel Tessier’s novel “Code of Silence” is the story of a woman with a feared and dangerous husband. They had been dating for a few years but now intend to formalize their union. These two walk the razor-thin line between love and hate and it makes for explosive chemistry and hot-as-sin scenes.Honestly author tried so hard to portray him as a possesive and demanding ALPHA but failed miserably and turned him into a manipulative little piece of shit. In the beginning i fr tried super hard to consider him hot and dominating but by the end of the book, i realised that he's nothing but a condescending asshole.

But I'm tired of watching others get a piece of what is mine. So, I did what any rational man would do—I staked my claim, showed the world that she belonged to me, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to make her believe it too. While Shantel is passionate about writing, the family will always come first. As such, she spends most evenings at home with her daughters and her husband alongside their dog and cat. It’s certainly unsettling in places- and for some, it may be unsettling in not a good way. For others, it’s unsettling in that captivating taboo way, the boundary pushing entracing kind of way. Shantel has a go big or go home approach to the story telling here as she unflinchingly embraces all that makes these characters (and some fun side characters) just so messed up. It’s certainly the kind of connection that makes you question yourself for being curious about it, and I did love how bold they both were in pursuing what they wanted and were pretty much willing to burn the world (and each other) down to get it. She starts to think that maybe she never wanted to see him again and that he could have never loved her. But in a cruel twist of fate, she has been handed over to him in what she believes is a heartless deal.

After her boyfriends gets to know, calls her a whore and breaks up with her, I felt bad and I was really hoping she wouldn’t let Colt get his way anymore.

also.. “branding and knife” kinks are consensual.. not carving your name in someone while their in a sex induced high and find out the next day.

But I’m tired of watching others get a piece of what is mine. So, I did what any rational man would do—I staked my claim, showed the world that she belonged to me, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to make her believe it too. At the end of the book, Colton said he was going to tell their parents about them as a couple and we don't get their response to it.Welcome to Corium University, where the most dangerous criminals in the world send their offspring.
