Just in case I can achieve my aim with what I've bought from Maplins, I'll post below what I bought. Maybe you or somebody else can suggest a specific combination of usage to achieve mono properly on one on my duplicated stereo feeds. I appreciate however that may not be possible. But what is the electrical upshot of connecting two devices to one input unswitched?
