About this deal

But anyone has an idea how accurate the readings are? I usually put one PSI extra to be sure (and to compensate for the ight air loss when it's being unscrewed from the tyre valve. While the Michelin tyre inflator is one of the best available in the market, it has some negatives as well. For a start, Michelin says that this inflator should not be used to inflate space saver tyres. The inflator is well-built and feels sturdy. The finish of the product is also top-notch with no rough edges anywhere. The switches are decently sized and are easy to press. The quality of the air hose is fine too. Features

I too have 88P since April 2013. I put this to use every week just to top off 5 to 10 PSI and adjust correct PSI using JACO Tire pressure gague. I bought the Viair 85P based on ajmat/your suggestion six years ago; works like a charm. On a few occasions I've had to use it, it's done 0 -> 32psi (2W and 4W both) in

A tyre inflator is one of the most important gadgets you could buy for your car. It is especially useful while touring when you might not be able to find a working air pump. Also remember, the best time to inflate your car's tyres is in the morning when they are cold. A good tyre inflator will help you maintain the proper air pressure as you don't need to drive to a pump every time. Various companies make these and among them, Michelin is a trusted name. The French company is well known for its quality products and the 'Programmable Fast Flow Digital Tyre Inflator 12266' that we are reviewing is no exception. I have been using this product for the last 6 to 7 years (at least) and every time it works like a charm. Very user-friendly and compact to store. Inflates 10 psi to 36 psi in a couple of mins (just used it yesterday on my Alto). Like all portable tyre inflators, the Michelin inflator makes an irritating noise while operating. This is particularly disturbing if your surroundings are quiet. That said, it is not as loud as some of the cheaper inflators. Again, while it does vibrate, it does not dance around as much as the cheaper inflators. Even after inflating all four tyres of the car on a hot November afternoon, the inflator did not heat up. Answer: The recommended tyre pressure for your car is mentioned on the bottom part of the centre pillar or behind the fuel cap cover. Fill as per the recommended pressure. Viair is pretty much the benchmark internationally in tyre inflators. Mine is 4 + years now and used to fill air in all 4 of my cars.Prior to Viar products I have used several 12V products (branded) all of which conked off due to heat, makes terrible noise, blows Fuse.

Thread inspiration taken from Androdev's awesome Bosch C7 charger thread (Ownership Review: Bosch C7 Battery Charger). Plug the power cord into the 12V power outlet in your car. The 10 ft long power cord ensures that the inflator can reach any tyre of the vehicle with ease. Screw the nozzle of the air hose onto the valve of the tyre. Doesn't match tyre pressures with other products. I also bought Michellin's tyre pressure gauge. But alas, the pressure shown by the inflator and pressure gauge is never the same.I have this double barrel Michelin model, and I have calculated the strokes. For a car like Tata Vista it takes about 5 foot pumps for 1 PSI increase. So it will take about 20 strokes for 28 to 32 PSI in small car. In Safari Storme, it used to require about 7 strokes per PSI increase. Answer: That is based on your choice as the efficiency of both digital tyre inflators and analog tyre inflators are the same. The only advantage that is there in the digital inflator is that reading the tyre pressure is easier in a digital inflator. I have two of these, michelin 12266 tyre inflators, the first one bought in 2019, and the second in 2021, both are working flawlessly. Only issue with the first one is that the preset buttons don’t work on the first go, you have to press and hold the (-) button to make them work. But it doesn’t bother me much as I keep it in my Diesel Creta, and maintain same pressure of 35psi in all four tyres, and once set at a value, it remains there, even after switching off. The one bought in 2021 works fine, kept in the Ignis, where front and rear pressure value is different. Overall satisfied with the product. It doesn't allow you to preset the air pressure you want, which means you have to manually monitor it and turn it off when desired values are reached. [Or I have not learned how to use this feature] Michelin 12266 Programmable Digital Tyre Inflator is an ideal device to inflate flat tyres. This is a high power tyre inflator and can inflate tyres from 0 to 30 psi in approx 3minutes.
