About this deal

Small batch, ultra-premium 100% Blue Weber agave tequila founded by George Clooney and Rande Gerber The biggest differences in these styles comes down to oak aging. Blanco is not aged in oak and will have more agave flavor than the others. Reposado tequila spends two months to a year in oak. Añejo spends one to three years in oak, and if you see a bottle marked "extra añejo," that spent more than three years in the barrel. Cazadores Añejo is made with 100 percent blue agave, which is fermented twice and distilled twice before spending at least a year in new, small American white oak barrels. New oak barrels have more flavor to impart, and this highland tequila boasts layers of it—think spiced apple pie, pecans, vanilla bean, a salted chocolate almond bar. It would pair nicely with dessert, but it's also wonderful sipped neat.

George Clooney and Rande Gerber's idea was to create the best-tasting, smoothest tequila. So they did

My education and training include a thorough knowledge of agave spirits creation from planting agaves to bottling, including distillation. The founders of Casamigos aimed to create the smoothest and most natural-tasting tequila that drinkers would not need salt or lime to cover up [ 2 ].

The smell of used bourbon oak barrels is also evident but not overwhelming, and the aromas are well-balanced. Palate Initially, there’s a lot of vanilla on the nose. Give it some time, and you might start to get some other notes. Specifically, tropical fruits. But these are lost among the vanilla sweetness that really dominates. There isn’t much in the way of agave, and little depth. Palate Still, it’s certainly on the sweeter side. The agave comes across like a fruit, and the grass notes are minimal.

Being bottled at a moderate 80-proof (40% ABV), diluting it too much can cloud its mature character. WARNING: Drinking distilled spirits, beer, coolers, wine and other alcoholic beverages may increase cancer risk, and, during pregnancy, can cause birth defects. Of course, our team has already tasted this tequila before this review, but it always impresses us with its smoothness compared to other tequilas in the market. Brand Finance’s report revealed that Casamigos has capitalised on Tequila’s surging popularity around the world, and indeed outstripped its competition in terms of growth, doubling its sales last year.

There is no doubt that Casamigos Tequila is a good sipper, which is precisely what the founders are aiming for.Añejo means “old” in Spanish. Extra Añejo tequila, therefore, is old er—it must have been aged for at least three years in oak barrels. El Tesoro introduced its first extra añejo tequila in 1994 before the Consejo Regulador de Tequila had even created a special classification for the style. Yes, it is reportedly claimed that Casamigos Añejo tequila contains additives. Additives not exceeding 1% are allowed when making tequila, which is enough to alter the taste of the spirit. Final Say Seat Tube Length: dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. The single most extraordinary quality associated with Casamigos Anejo is the fact that this tequila delivers an unbelievably potent and refreshing flavour at such a reasonable price. The Blue Weber agaves used to produce Casamigos Anejo are aged between 7-9 years making it luxuriously flavourful. In just four years, this liquor started as a hobby between friends to become a billion-dollar tequila brand.

Undoubtedly, Casamigos have made some good tequilas. All three are on the sweeter side, but they play well with a crowd. Even tequila purists are likely to find Casamigos an easy drinking brand. And if you have a sweet tooth, then Casamigos can ease your way from shooting to sipping. It is smooth and great for special occasions, but slightly expensive. So is Casamigos really worth it? To Get Or Forget? The insights I’ve gained aren’t just from books or hearsay; they are the result of hands-on experience, countless tastings, and an enduring passion for these spirits. Toasted (hazel?) nut, cinnamon and sherry nose with sweet cinnamon finish and lightweight mouthfeel. No agave aroma/flavor that I can find. Strangely reminds me of port wine in the mouth. A new Casamigos Terrace is set to open on the rooftop at Cuban-inspired club Embargo Republica in the heart of London’s Chelsea.
