At The Pembrooke, Veronica sat with Betty as Polly gave her statement to Sheriff Keller of the days leading up to Jason Blossom's death. Later, in the student lounge at school, Betty discussed Polly's dilemma with the group, in which the Coopers wanted her but not the baby, while the Blossoms wanted the baby but not her. As a potential solution, Veronica suggested they host a baby shower for Polly, as she thought baby steps would be the best way to approach the situation, starting with getting Polly and her parents together and in a public setting where they couldn't fight. Just as she asked Betty what she thought, however, Alice entered the lounge, demanding to speak with both her and Betty. Apparently, after Sheriff Keller interviewed Polly that morning, he had informed Alice of Polly's whereabouts, which Veronica took the blame for since she she was the one who made the offer. Betty, however, defended her friend, as unlike Alice, she was trying to help. As Veronica looked on proudly, Betty stood up to her mother, informing her of Veronica's offer to host a baby shower, which Betty thought was a great idea, and told Alice to stay away if she would not be supportive. The things the trolls were writing...were true. I was like Cheryl -- I was worse than Cheryl. So, when my mom said we were moving to Riverdale, I made a pact with myself: To use this as an opportunity to become -- maybe, hopefully -- a better version of myself... As I said with volume 1, one of my weirder irritations is the censoring of swear words. I read this right after Vampironica, a blood-filled story that swears and isn't afraid to be more mature. Vixens could benefit from committing more to a similar mature tone and matching art. I'm going to keep that between me and him. And besides, in many ways, a private jet is more of a burden than a gift.

Reasonably, she was upset that Veronica had lied to them and gone along with her parents' plan. With this, Betty could no longer be Veronica's running mate as she could no longer trust her. Anyway, Betty’s impatient and asks Cheryl what this is about. Cheryl says one of their own is “moonlighting” with the enemy. Veronica, equally impatient, asks Cheryl what she’s babbling about. Cheryl tells them what she saw. Toni says it’s not a big deal. Betty questions her about it. Toni starts to explain about Doc helping them, but Veronica says they don’t need help. Toni plays the race card and basically calls Veronica and Cheryl privileged white bitches. Cheryl spins a bottle. All eyes are on the bottle of Cherry as it spins around. Cheryl moves around slyly, observing the bottle and her two targets: Veronica and Betty]CHERYL (CONT’D): So, what are you three hens gossiping about? Archie’s Efron-esque emergence from the chrysalis of puberty? ALICE: Cheryl Blossom's cheerleading squad? After what Jason did to Polly? No, I'm sorry. I won't allow it. Take that off right now.

Pop culture icons as bikers. I wouldn't have bought into the concept until I read Gotham City Garage, which did an impressive job with the concept. Betty & Veronica had a high bar to clear.
