About this deal

The History icon is just that, and you can access previous rides and see a summary from a week, a month, a year or longer. However the Cyclo seems a tad overpriced to me. The only justification for the price that I can see is the screen. Then again, the screen IS a fundamental part of a bike navigation offering. Your provision and uploading your activities and activity data indicate your explicit consent. Mio will process your activity data based on your consent. You can withdraw your consent by deleting the data directly from your Account.

The Cyclo does a good job of guiding you from A to B. Your position on the map is as you would expect and you are alerted in an appropriate manner for upcoming turns if your route supports that. So here's how my first ride relying on this for navigation went, and seeing as I'd just moved to a new area, I really was relying on it. Wireless ANT+ and bluetooth heart rate monitor and wheel and cadence sensor (all 505HC models only) More obvious, and potentially very useful, is the POI tile. Here you can see nearby locations in useful categories – emergency, bike store or food and drink – and it's pretty accurate. Handy in a pinch.

There's a lot of technology involved here for the audience of casual, touring cyclists, and you're relying quite heavily on your phone and other services you must link. The 35-second startup time is unlikely to please anyone, either, though the battery life – an hour's use doesn't make a visible dent in the meter, and you can ride all week with it (Mio claims up to 17 hours per charge) – is at least a lot more suitable. Are we nearly there yet? WeJoin is a feature available on some Cyclo devices that enables you to send a link to people of your choice (i.e. WeJoin invitees) that allows them to see the real-time location of your device. Because the invitee with access to the link will be able to see the real-time location of your Cyclo device or device installed with Application, you should always determine to whom you want to send the link carefully and be sure that you trust them to not send the link to others whom you do not want to be able to view the location of your Cyclo device. It would seem a more sensible strategy to me that MIO followed a similar model to WAHOO and just didn’t bother with MIOSHARE at all. Instead they could rely on one of those trendy modern things called ‘an app’ which then linked to RIDEWITHGPS for route creation and to STRAVA for routes, analysis and social stuff. They could then focus on innovating more around their hardware. MIO Cyclo 210 Review – Navigating From time to time, we share or sell activity data in a de-identified and aggregated manner with or to companies that provide MiTAC and our customers with content or features for the purpose of enhancing the quality of the content or features they provide, and with or to other third parties for research or other purposes. The Mio Cyclo 210 (review ed here) is the entry-level model in a range of 5 devices. The 210 is starting to be more actively marketed since its introduction in August 2018.

Recommendation:I’d say buy it if you want a sweet-looking bike navigation unit and do not want to pay for additional performance features that you will never use. Go for it if you are happy with the price. Price, Availability & Discounts

Whilst MIO’s main marketing angle throughout the entire range appears to be focussed on NAVIGATION, their devices do become much more feature-rich and performance-suited as you go up the range.And at the end there is a rubber-covered USB port and a memory card port. I’ve absolutely no idea why you would need to use a memory card as a full regional map is included. The unit itself is big (dwarfing even Garmin’s Edge 1030) and it closely resembles a smartphone, which also makes it easy to read. The downside is that the bulky unit takes up plenty of space and the rather tall mount can get a little wobbly when riding over rougher ground. Overall, I really like the Mio Cyclo 210. It may not have all of the bells and whistles required if you are really into your performance and want to record as much data as possible, but I never really missed it. Let’s put the Cyclo 210 in context. It’s good for a day’s worth of navigational fun on two wheels but perhaps not in a monsoon. Headline features include a 10-hour battery life, Strava connectivity and a Surprise Me feature — which can create its own routes depending on how far or for how long you’d like to ride.

The one criticism I would have is that starting a route/course is mildly confusing. There could be slight delays as the 210 is off thinking about something or it could just be that I’m not pressing the touchscreen in quite the right place. Having said that there are some nice touches where you can choose to ride a pre-loaded route in either direction. MIO Cyclo 210 Review – GPS Accuracy Thanks to a software update in June 2014 you can now connect your iPhone or Android Smartphone to your Cyclo 505 using its now activated Bluetooth technology. This will enable you to receive calls and also see who is calling. Plus, you can read incoming texts. There is a compatible headset with microphone that you can use to wirelessly or use with a wire to receive telephone calls. Whats more on your Cyclo 505 you can even listen to voice instructions using the headset however this feature is only available with Android Smartphones. So you actually manage a ride and want to see it in the app. You might expect that pairing your phone with the GPS via Bluetooth and refreshing the activities list would work. But no. Instead you have to go to Settings, and then Connections, and then Wifi (even though you're also connected by Bluetooth) and then finally find a big red 'Synch' button. Only then will your paired devices update each other. I found even pairing the Cyclo with my own phone slightly faffy, as it looks simple but seems to involve codes and poking various parts of both screens at just the right time. It took a few goes, with me wondering if it was working or not. Once successfully done, at least, it connects automatically (and rapidly) from then on. Resolutely routey The main criticisms that you can throw against the MIO Cyclo 510 is that it is not a different kind of device. ie I could come up with things I would like it to do but they would probably mostly be non-navigationally based. I remind you that MIO have other more feature-ful devices in their range!Additional personal data such as your location, gender, birthdate, height, weight when you use the Application or services;
