The Tommee Tippee plain white filter and blue/ white filters are compatible with both Perfect Prep Machines. Small particles of carbon may be in the bag or on the surface of your filter. These dust particles are harmless and will be reduced during the initial set up process when submerging in clean fresh water. Do not place your Perfect Prep Machine near any heat sources such as stoves or ovens. Avoid exposing the machine to direct sunlight or leaving it in a hot car. This can cause damage to the machine and affect its performance. Home Set Up
Make sure your Perfect Prep Machine is turned off and unplugged. This will ensure that you can safely remove and clean the water tank. Step 3: Remove the Water Tank and Filter (if applicable) In addition to descaling, it is also important to clean the machine regularly. This includes wiping down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth and cleaning the water tank and filter. Following good hygiene practices when preparing formula, such as washing your hands before handling the machine and using freshly boiled water, can also help to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. Pour 1 litre of clear/white (food grade) vinegar into the water tank. Top up the water tank to the max line with freshly boiled water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout.Fill the water tank with 1 litre of cold water and add a sachet of Tommee Tippee Hot Shot. Alternatively, you can use distilled white vinegar or a descaling solution that is suitable for use with coffee machines. Descaling your Perfect Prep Machine is easy and can be done using a descaling solution, such as white vinegar or a proprietary descaling product. Another warning sign that your Perfect Prep Machine needs descaling is the descaling light. This light will come on when the machine is due for descaling. When this light comes on, it is essential to follow the manufacturer’s instructions to descale the machine properly. Green Light
Always ensure good hygiene by washing your hands and work surfaces before handling the water filter.Using a cold-water sterilising solution (following manufacturer guidelines for using with 1.8 litres of water), add required amount to the water tank. Fill the tank to the max line with cold water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout. Before descaling, make sure to empty the water tank and remove any remaining formula from the machine. By regularly descaling and cleaning your Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine, you can ensure that it continues to function correctly and provide safe, hygienic water for your baby’s formula. Recognising the Warning Signs Once the cycle is complete, discard the water from the container and repeat the process with fresh cold tap water until the water comes out clean.
Once the cleaning cycle is complete, remove the water tank and empty any remaining solution. Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water and dry it. Run a few cycles of clean water through the machine to ensure that all the descaling solution has been removed. Clean your Perfect Prep Machine on a regular basis using a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Make sure to wipe the exterior and interior of the machine, including the hopper and lid. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can damage the surface of the machine. Descaling The machine comes with a bottle stand that holds the bottle in place while the formula is being prepared. The stand is adjustable, so you can use it with different sizes of bottles. The machine also has a dispensing spout that pours the formula into the bottle, making it easy to use. Make sure to set up your Perfect Prep Machine on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing it near any electrical outlets or water sources. Keep the machine away from any sources of moisture or dampness. It is recommended that you descale the machine at least once every three months, or more frequently if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water contains higher levels of minerals, which can lead to a faster build-up of limescale in the machine.Anti-Bacterial Filter: The Perfect Prep anti-bacterial filter is designed for use with water straight from the tap and ensures that the water is clean and safe to make a bottle feed Press the start/stop button. A green light will flash, and water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. The contents should be discarded. Before first use you need to run a cleaning cycle – which should take approximately 10 minutes. For hygiene and safety reasons you should clean your unit on a regular basis.
