Going to start this review by saying that I did not know of this book's existence until the film on Netflix came out and I became obsessed with the storyline. I have been a Wattpad member since 2012 and never heard of it, and I'm kinda upset I hadn't because it was actually a really interesting book. Though, I enjoyed the film more... I think because the storyline in the movie was more emotional considering it was VERY different than the book. Noah offers Elle a ride on his motorcycle, and rain forces them to take shelter in a gazebo. There, Elle kisses him, telling him she cannot be just another sexual conquest. Elle broke up with Noah because she thought he’s cheating on her. He spends a lot of time with a girl named Amanda because he’s failing his classes and she’s helping him study. Instead of telling his girlfriend that he’s not doing well with his college classes, he keeps it a secret until the end of the book, where everything is magically resolved because they FINALLY talked to each other about everything!

I'm not even going to begin to dive into these shallow, self obsessed characters and this cringe-worthy writing, but to put it shortly, they were awful. Another was the love interest, Noah. He's this super bad boy who gets into fights, has anger issues, and has a reputation as a man-whore. Yet, he's got perfect grades, was accepted into Harvard, and is "secretly sweet and cute." Yeah, okay. Not to mention that his actions made me swear this would turn into an abusive relationship. He gets furious if another guy so much as touches Elle, tells her she has to change her clothes if he finds it too revealing, and pretty much grabs, pulls, and drags her every chance he got. I pretty much ended up hating Noah because of this, but was so relieved when in the end he seemed to stop all of that and became more sweet and gentle. La historia me ha parecido muy divertida y bonita. Me alegro mucho de que la hayan incluido en el libro. La amistad entre Elle y Lee sigue el hilo de la película. Son una pareja muy graciosa, con una amistad muy bonita y estrecha, que entretiene y se ve que se quieren con locura. Sin duda lo que más he disfrutado del libro han sido las escenas de estos dos mejores amigos :) Pero sin duda en la película Lee es muchísimo más mono y cuqui, es imposible superar eso.

At Elle and Lee's birthday costume party the next day, Elle confesses her love for Noah to Lee. He relents, wanting her to be happy and agreeing to help her find Noah. For the first time in my life I can honestly say the film was better than the book, and I've never felt so let down. Anyway, Lee and Rochelle, as school council members, need to run a booth for the carnival/festival thing and decide to do a kissing booth. Levi, a new character, was the only one I was rooting for. And I’m disappointed that Elle tried to use him to get over Noah. He deserved better! #justiceforlevi
