About this deal

As to the Circles Close.... the circle of the ring closes... and the story of the ring and what it symbolizes. The circle of the family closes with Brianna and Roger getting married. So much symbolism - we could go on and on.... Claire! For a stubborn lass she was way too lenient with Jamie’s misbehaviour! I would have expected more of her!! She should have given him hell for how he treated other people!!! *grrr* So many things happen in DOA, it's almost like reading five books in one. It's pretty gigantic so you will require ALOT of patience and time to get through it. But I can promise you it's worth it in the end. Diana Gabaldon has as always a brilliant way with words and DOA is a masterpiece in itself. This installment gives us literally a little bit of everything. Adventures, romance, danger and everything in between . The storytelling is absolutely brilliant. It’s like being a 200+ year old fly on the wall ABL, I love the scenes where Roger and Jamie are holding Jemmy, too, which is why I included the description of Jamie looking and Jemmy's fuzzy head. I can just imagine the love on his face as he looks upon his grandson. It brings tears to my eyes!

What if you knew someone you loved was going to die? What if you thought you could save them? How much would you risk to try?Claire Randall survived the extraordinary passage, not once but twice. Her first trip swept her into the arms of Jamie Fraser, an eighteenth-century Scot whose love for her became legend—a tale of tragic passion that ended with her return to the present to bear his child. Finished the book today, I have to say, this is kind of my record. I just keep swallowing these books and not doing anything else :D I kept reading yesterday till 3 am, just couldn't put the book down.

If you’re a fan of the OutlanderTV series but have never read the Outlander book series on which the Starz drama is faithfully based, you might have some questions about what comes next in the Outlander story. Right now, the TV show is just wrapping up its fifth season, which follows the plot of the fifth book in the series, The Fiery Cross. Outlander Season 6, on which the writers are already hard at work, will follow the plot of the sixth book in the series, titled A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Scroll down to that book’s section to find out more about the plot. It is always hard for me to think of Frank and his love for Claire, because if he loved her that much, he surely didn't show it or try to

And I completely understood Jamie's actions after he finds out what happened to Bri. But I do wish they would have talked earlier about it. But yeah, I also kinda understand why he did not. Certainly the characters of the two principals, Claire and Jamie, develop further in the story. Coming up with new and original characterization is very difficult in a series. It's too common to see characters established early then see little development as the series progresses. The relationship of Brianna and Roger is a clear example of this in Drums. The closeness of their relationship has been building since DiA and becomes such a strong one in Drums. I think Claire will be very relieved when she learns of the letter because she fears for Jamie to return to Scotland because she believes he will die there after having seen the stone. Knowing that Frank had it placed will take away that fear for her. I think the time and place of one's death and the deaths of one's loved ones is better left unknown. Wee Ian- I have a newfound LOVE for Jamie's nephew. I can't believe I haven't realized what a great character he is before. My favorite after ( ? ) Jamie. Whither thou goest,'" I said, "'I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: they people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die and there will I be buried.'" Be it Scottish hill or southern forest. "You do what you have to; I'll be there."

Other recaps for this series:

You are my courage, as I am your conscience," he whispered. "You are my heart---and I your compassion. We are neither of us whole, alone. Do ye not know that, Sassenach?” And yet. I looked. Looked for the man – for Fraser. And perhaps I found him. And what I could dredge up of his connections matched what Claire told me of him. Whether she was telling the truth, or whether she had grafted some delusion onto real experience…well, there was a man, I’m sure of that!
