About this deal

It’s my dress that your wife borrowed and I had to do an entire Tom Cruise Mission Impossible thing to get it back last week.

I should have known I was in trouble when I backed my old, beat-up truck into the shiny Range Rover. They’re kind of at odds with one another, but a life-changing and eviscerating event changes everything for them.

And just like any Aly Martinez novel, there are plenty of twists and turns through every page that will have you wondering what the hell that next moment will bring them. While it may not feature trucks, trains, or prison, or even really getting drunk, “Mama” is at the heart of the story.

As it would be to easy for me to spoil such an emotional, emotive, and totally exciting story for the would be reader to experience. From the Embers is yet another literary masterpiece and further display of what a genius this author is when it to comes to her craft of story telling. I’d resigned myself to a life of loneliness, until a survivor from the same plane crash that took my fiancée stormed into my life. But winning over the town’s founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. I don't need the stress of fighting through annoying characters when reading is supposed to do the opposite.

Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself. It will take over every single part of your heart and mind and soul and feelings and just everything in between. But at the end of the day, I’d never allowed myself to go there with Bree because she hadn’t belonged to me.

After a tragic event, Eason is left with nothing but his daughter Luna and his guilt of saving Bree instead of his wife. watching Eason and Bree prop each other up during their grief was one of the best aspects of the book. I’m supposed to stay clear of the “forbidden” forest and piss away my days in my grandparents’ stupid rose garden alongside a boy named Avery. After an unfortunate incident and a forced leave of absence from the Secret Service, Arden Ryan is moving back to Chicago where she can get over her failures in the comfort of her childhood home. One of the most dynamic and successful commercial imprints in the UK, Sphere aims to publish the highest-quality popular fiction and non-fiction, including thrillers, women's fiction, and celebrity titles. Words are often the sharpest weapon of all, triggering some of the most powerful emotions a human can experience.

Okay so even the parts of this book that were supposed to be the interesting parts ( the first half ) just didn’t work for me. From the Embers is enjoying a sudden surge in popularity, and I’m very happy about that… because it was one of my Top 20 of 2021 picks! With successful careers, a lovely home, and a beautiful child, domestic bliss is a hard-earned reality for two people whose hedonistic days are in the not-so-distant past. It took losing the woman I loved, and facing the paralyzing task of moving on without her, for me to truly understand that. It’s a gut punch to your emotions in the best of ways, taking the reader on a slow-burning journey that tugs on your every heartstring. We've woven that ache all around us and immersed into the unknown of a story teller that's going to make or break us for a few hours. Maybe some anonymous threats, mysterious letters, a knock on the door with no one there, she could have worked this in better, she just didn’t. This was so beautifully written, from the very first chapter I was hooked, the very last page I had tears in my eyes and a heart full to bursting.
