Cleansing balm was ok, but I couldn't get past the fact I used it up so quickly and I know residue on the skin and hard to remove logn lasting makeup would be a deal breaker for most. Infused with apricot oil, mango butter, cocoa butter and cucumber extract, this vegan cleanser works to gently melt away stubborn make-up and impurities to reveal gorgeous, supple skin. Additionally, the Avon Clearskin range provides tailored solutions for those persistent skin issues - pore and shine control, blackhead clearing, and fresh bubble cleansers.

The Silicone-free label only includes the most common Silicone ingredients that have indentified been reported by individuals that could potentially cause issues. Suitable for all skin types, it only contains apricot oil, cocoa butter, mango butter and cucumber extract, it’s suitable for vegans too!

This will remove your skin’s excess sebum whilst leaving your skin lightly moisturised and refreshed.

However one type of alcohols, simple alcohols can be quite drying to the skin because it evaporates very quickly. As cleansing balms are efficient at removing excess oil from the skin, some of us might presume that they actually dry out your skin.

The whole range is registered with the Vegan Society, an international charity that registers products and services that do not involve or contain animal-derived ingredients and have not involved animal testing. It contains a number of ingredients that are occlusives and are good to moisturize dry and very dry skin such as Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Dimer Dilinoleyl Dimer Dilinoleate, and Isopropyl Myristate. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. When you efficiently remove the dirt and make-up from your face, you remove these particles that could otherwise get caught in your skin and cause a small infection that will then appear as a spot.

It might be a bit too heavy for me in the summer and white cast will be a problem for most darker skin tones. The range consists of 5 products - cleanser, day cream, night cream, vitamin C powder and facial oil. If you notice any of these being used in a cleansing balm you’re interested in trying, we’d highly recommend finding an alternative product. They should be able to advise you on ingredients that might be aggravating for your particular skin type. It would be perfect for summer, but it works for me now in colder months as well, because I layer it up with other skin care.
