Its special pigments ensure a richer colour and allow the natural texture of the woodgrain to shine through. Garden Shades is a water based product, so an application of water and detergent should provisionally be used.

Ensured to provide a long-lasting matt finish, this wood paint achieves a beautiful look, without compromising on quality. Cuprinol Garden Shades has longer lasting performance, with 6 years protection compared to the standard 2 years protection. With a wide selection of colours available you will be able to easily redecorate your garden to your liking.

Made to provide a rich, durable finish on multi-surface, you can be sure that this paint will look brilliant for longer. Untreated wood: should be pre-treated prior to adhesion test with an appropriate wood preserver to prevent rot and decay. Recoatable in 8 hours with coverage up to 12sq/m per litre on smooth timber and 5sq/m per litre on rough sawn timber.

It can also be applied on terracotta, brick and stone, to bring beautiful colours to the rest of the garden. If using more than one can it is advisable to mix them together in a container or finish in a corner before starting a new can. Working days are defined as Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Some products may be delivered straight to your door from one of our suppliers and these products will be labelled within the product description. Be mindful that it is waxed-enriched and that once these waxes are dried, they act to repel liquids, which would include an additional coats.

Overspraying surrounding areas can be minimized by avoiding spraying in windy conditions and by using cardboard or plastic as a shield. For spray application, use of either the Cuprinol Fence Spray or Cuprinol Power Sprayer are recommended. Not only that, but our wood paint is water-based and has minimal VOCs, so it’s safe for you and your home. As Garden Shades often goes on directly to the wood, without a primer, sometimes it will soak deep into the wood and this can create the need for a third coat.
