Designed from the ground up, the Define R6 goes beyond iteration with a profound stride of innovation – a sizeable step forward from preceding models of the world-renowned Define Series. I'm between the R6 and R5 at the moment, by the time I need to pull the trigger I will check what is available and go with the most cost effective options. Didn't give me too much bad surprise, the PSU shroud and bottom mount issue, I already knew them before getting the case.

Easy-to-clean, high airflow, nylon filters on the Define R6 ensure unwanted dust and dirt doesn't get into your system to keep it performing at it's best. If you instead plan on using the top for ventilation, then I prefer the look of the Define R6 since the Define 7 has a strange (horrible for me) dust filter/vent mesh combination.

Also announced alongside the R6 was the Flex VRC-25 vertical GPU riser kit, slated for availability in late January, 2018. The top panel consists of an outer panel with a noice dampening layer attached (screw-less) to a removable fan filter. Small fan noise to report, like a hissing sound (quiet, muffled sound, perfectly even, like an air conditioning system). The CPU went down by 2 degrees, however, so I guess it does have its use -- gonna keep the fan in there! Three silent, airflow-optimized Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 140 mm fans come pre-installed helping ensure superior airflow via two intake fans and a single exhaust.

The spacious and fully adaptable framework of the Define R6 sports nine fan mounts, integrated PWM fan hub and support for radiators up to 420mm, making it the perfect platform for building your dream water loop.Since the GPU is much more aggressive about altering clock speed to lower temperature, the differences between cases are smaller on our GPU chart. It also houses a Nexus+ Smart Hub, giving you superior control of six additional case fans and three extra PWM devices via your compatible motherboard.
