I dont put on heavy makeup so dont know how it tacle with that but with everyday natural makeup it does the job well. It is very creamy, I use a cotton wool pad and the cleanser to remove all traces of my makeup, it is gentle enough to use around my eye area too. If you do want to rinse it off, make sure you simply finish off with a generous spray of Avène Thermal Spring Water to remove the limescale and chlorine found in tap water. Its formula contains a minimum of ingredients at just the right amount to ensure efficacy and tolerance**.
