About this deal
Hama's micro-fibre cloth in light grey with dark grey trim has an excellent cleaning effect through high-class fibre structure. In contrast to anti-static treatment of cloths with conductive fluids or impregnations the anti-static effect of Kinetronics cloths is completely retained. It prevents the formation of charges that attract dust on all surfaces that are not conductive and are therefore susceptible to this, for instance plastic or glass.
The ultra soft cloth is so gentle you’ll feel comfortable using it on sensitive negatives and transparencies. Thanks to numerous elastic elements, the antistatic workwear offers remarkable freedom of movement and flexibly follows every work step. Peter came to visit me in Newbury even though based in Swindon as I was worried about my D500 sensor as on following his advice when he was visiting Newbury Camera Club doing a talk, i tested my camera and was horrified to find loads of dark spots, checked with 2 different lenses and realised it was the sensor. Friction causes electricity to build up and the discharge results in a "shock", or spark, which is harmless in itself. The anti-static effect is guaranteed through conductive parts of the weave, whose effectiveness remains constant throughout its use.Simply clean the record in a circular motion, starting from the centre of the record and working outwards, making sure to never clean across the grooves. Peter cleaned the sensor on my DSLR and took the time to demonstrate and explain what he was doing and why.
Provides an invisible antistatic coating – simple wiping is sufficient to divert the static charge, the treated surface will become dust and dirt repelling.
Designed for day-to-day maintenance of your vinyl records, the cloth will gently remove loose dirt and debris from your records, whilst dissipating static from the grooves.
