About this deal

Some mention it's a great garden tool and very easy to use, while others say that it'd be hard to use if the lawn was too wet. A one metre piece of 10mm doweling can be poked into the tine to clear any blockage without bending down. This is not a problem with this unit but is a problem with ALL hollow tines whether manual or powered. The rest is easy to work out (don't forget to fit the spacer at the bottom of the pole where the pole mounts to the brackets - this spacer strengthens the mounting. At the end of the run, pull it up and DROP it into position for the next run (watch your toes though); this sticks it well into the lawn ready to aerate.

It needs assembling, which is simple to do, and everything fits together well - although you’ll need a wrench or something similar, to attach the nylon-thread bolts.Having said that, I still think the addition of some weights would make the task of lawn aeration easier. We have everything for the dedicated and occasional gardener alike, as well as providing great places to visit for a great cup of coffee and much more. Feels as if it needs a stronger main tube but quiet easy to use if you wait for the ground to be soft. item is great when ground is soft, tried using it on hard ground and found the brackets could do with being stronger (they bent a little ) would recommend using it after heavy rain or a good watering. Now during assembly I had to use my own hollow ended ratchet set to get the bolts in well enough, the provided flat stamped steel spanner was woefully inadequate for the task; especially as the nuts are all nylon lined and so the bolts cut into and seal themselves into place, this makes it very hard with the dinky toy spanner to get them all on tight.
