About this deal

Secondly, the best thing to do to help you decide should I have a Sten Do is to ask your other half if they could imaging having a joint stag and hen celebration. The monologue itself isn't actually a monologue, its more of a duologue but with the other characters lines cut out of it. So the first thing I had to do was to cut it up and make sure it made sense.Similar to my As You Like It monologue, we are aware that Bernadette is talking to people but its not necessary that these characters need to be present at the time. Carol is the main character in this section of the scene, and its mainly Bernadette telling her all about this guy whom 'tried to get off with me'. Carol although described as innocent is still just as loud and feisty as Bernadette. Innocences means nothing when it comes to Carol describing the guy who tried chatting her up: "I had to Berni. He made me feel ill, honest. I hate ugly people!" http://www.lyttonplayers.co.uk/Previous%20Productions/Stags%20and%20Hens/Characters.htm You’ll all get kitted out in fetching jumpsuits (imagine the group selfies) and then you’ll learn how to skydive in a huge air tunnel tube indoors. You could book a class that is suited to the bride & groom’s favourite cuisine, for example a sushi class or pasta-making class. 8. Indoor Skydiving The Willy Russell Centre for Children and Adults Who Stammer, was opened by him in Liverpool in 1996. The philosophy that anyone is capable of change whatever obstacles may be in their path (which is central to much of Russell's work) is a theory shared by the centre.

The play is set in a trashy 1970s disco in Liverpool, England. The action is mainly in the gents and women's toilets of the disco where both Linda (The Bride) and Dave (The Groom) have decided to hold their stags and hens nights, not knowing that their other half is at the same place. When Linda's ex-boyfriend, Peter, arrives this causes an uproar between Linda and Dave's friends and when Linda's hen party get a say in all whats happening the two groups gang together to stop Linda taking up the offer of an escape with her ex Peter she is then forced with a difficult decision – to stay or to go. [4] [2] Characters [ edit ] Who doesn’t love a day at a theme park? This is one that is sure to keep both the stags and the hens happy and you’ll have a lot of fun and bonding time as you take on the likes of Oblivion as a group. If you do decide to have two events, be prepared that some friends might only be able to make one of them. What Are The Benefits To A Sten Party? Thirdly, consider whether you and your partner would be happy to forgoe the traditional single-sex stag and hen parties and instead just have one big event together.

Stag Weekends

STAGS AND HENS takes place in the Ladies and Gents Toilet’s of a decaying 1980’s Liverpool Dancehall. Willy Russell's "comedy of convenience" is set in the toilets of a seedy scouse club and aims to provide a stomach-lining view of stag and hen parties which accidentally coincide. The result is not for the squeamish, neither is it for those without a sense of humour.

It was John McGrath's play 'Unruly Elements' which changed Willy Russell's mind about theatre; he had previously thought of it as being stuffy and middle class. Here was a way to communicate directly through humour and dialect, to touch people's emotions, to change lives. However, Willy Russell also wants his audiences to have a good time; the spirit of social reform is always answerable to the entertainment ethic. The Bench Theatre produced an excellent, gutsy piece. 'Stags and Hens' runs at the Havant Arts Centre July 21-23 and 25-30. This might not be to everyone’s taste to begin with, but a cooking class means you get to all do something together, and then reap the rewards after by sitting down to eat together. Pit your female friends against your partner’s mates with an assault course. The guys won’t know what they’re in for! You could make this super competitive by all wearing Team Bride or Team Stag t-shirts.

Customer reviews

Stags and Hens is a play written by Willy Russell. Like most of Willy Russell's work, the play discusses working class society in England in the 1970s. It makes comments about the working class' intellect, life, party habits and the exclusion of the different. Contents She said one of the days all the girls on the hen decided to go one way, and the boys on the stag decided to go another. One of the girls with the hens got “super drunk” and went into a booth with a glory hole. Being drunk, the girl just decided to give head to the guy on the other side of the wall through the hole. Then there’s a twist. Apparently there’s a button in these booths, where if both people push it they can reveal the identity of the person on the other side, as the wall becomes see through like a window. Customers can also be assured to receive a bespoke and unique hen and stag service with your very own account manager that will truly embrace your needs, as well as be fully flexible with guest numbers. Guests can even pay in instalments. If you’re looking to celebrate your hen or stag party in Liverpool, then look no further than Casa Italia Pizzeria and Pastificio.
