Tameside Sight
Tameside Sight (TS) is from November 2011 the new name of Tameside Blind Association (TBA), which was established in 1975 with the aim of improving the quality of life for all visually impaired people in Tameside.
The primary role of TS is to provide a service which enables visually impaired people to develop as individuals and feel valued within the community.
TS provides support to several social clubs in various parts of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council borders as well as practical support through the Community Support Project, which is backed by funding from the National Lottery (Big Lottery Fund).
Whether you are visually impaired or sighted you may wish to support us by becoming a member (£1 per year), just contact TS or download, print and complete a Membership form (Pdf).
TS aims to work in partnership with other agencies in the area including hospitals, doctors, council services and other voluntary groups and has contacts with national organisations supporting visually impaired people.
All visually impaired people in Tameside, carers and friends have access to the services offered.
If you have any queries please give us a call.
TS has two adjacent offices in Dukinfield:
the Committee at 4 Wellington Parade
the Community Support Team at 3 Wellington Parade
